After a busy week things are starting to come together. It has been an ok start but not perfect, it was always going to take me a bit of time to settle and get myself back to full confidence after last year but every meeting i feel i have improved. I have not been happy with my starts but we made a small change to the bikes for the home match against Birmingham and i straight away was making good gates again and was even better at Newport. I felt quite unlucky against Birmingham, I really thought that it might be the day for my first maximum after my first two rides but an incident on the first lap of my third left me way at the back and i thought the race should have been stopped and the ref even agreed!!

Newport went pretty well for me and my last three rides was the first time this season where David Howe finally turned up, i made some great starts and not to drop a point in my last three was a great way to finish the meeting and to top it of Scunthorpe came so close to taking the win but least we came away with a point.

Yesterday was the Prince Of Wales meeting at Newport. It was great to see Newport back up and running after the sad passing of Tim Stone last year. It was a pretty good start to the season for me, i won my first two rides but in my third i dropped two points as the track was getting slicker i was struggling with too much power also i was having a little problem with my clutch, so i changed bikes and that felt great, winning my last heat against Kevin Doolan leaving me top points scorer. I was given gate four in the final and couldn't quite get over the top of Kev and had to work my way past Ben Barker and Mark Lemon on the first lap. So all in all i'm happy with my first meeting and to get the nerves out the way.
